What do you do when someone cheats on you?
One of the worse feelings a person can experience is having their spouse cheat on them. This breaks a most sacred trusts a couple shares together. Yet, is it cause for divorce? Is it possible to recover from such devastation? In this relationship podcast, “They Cheated! Should I Stay or Should I Go.” We discuss what the Bible says about infidelity, divorce, and God’s desire for a couple when the bonds of trust are broken.
Should an unmarried person respond to cheating similar to a married person?
This question was asked by one of our listeners… “If you are in a committed boyfriend / girlfriend relationship for 2 years and your boyfriend cheats on you and he is very sorry and ask forgiveness. Should the girl exercise forgiveness and mercy the same way a married women would, or should she just move on, because she as not made that committment before God yet?”
What a great question! Just because you are not married doesn’t mean that a person cheating on you feels any less painful. Many times even before marriage a strong bond is formed. So what should you do? We start the show answering the question from an unmarried persons perspective, then to a married persons perspective.
