People are passionate about politics.
I don’t know if I’m more sensitive to the era I live in, but within the past 10 to 12 years I have seen a heighten division and animosity surrounding differing political views. When and why this happened isn’t relevant for this post, but what is relevant is these different views are causing rifts among people all around the world, and more importantly in homes. Marriages are experiencing divorce and division all behind politics and party agendas. As we approach a new election cycle we want to remind our listeners not to let politics spoil your marriage.
Manage your priorities and different doesn’t mean better!
The word priority means the condition of treating something as more important. Marriages that are hurting as a result of politics have misplaced priorities. I am not saying your political view isn’t important, but it’s not more important than your marriage. In this episode we talk about the role priorities play in a healthy marriage. We emphasize the importance God places on marriage and the responsibility upon each spouse to prioritize each other. We share other helpful hints that you can consider as you find yourself holding differing views, and how to manage them. In the end, the mission is the same. Don’t let politics spoil your marriage.
